Guest performance in Washington

Salut Salon international: After successful international appearances in Luxembourg and Spain this spring, Salut and Salon traveled to USA where they gave two concerts in Washington at the beginning of September.

NPR , the National Public Radio in US is broadcasting an interview with Iris Siegfried and Angelika Bachmann, produced by Deutsche Welle. Also streamed on: www.dw-world.de "Arts On The Air".

At the end of the year Chile is on the bill again, where Angelika Bachmann and Iris Siegfried will also continue their personal involvement in their charity project „Escuela Popular de Artes“.

Tour 2011/2012 – new programme

A shark in the aquarium? In the sphere of music, nothing’s impossible: take the silent underwater world as portrayed in glittering tones by Camille Saint-Saëns in his “Carnival of the Animals” and stir the quiet calm with the furious tango of Astor Piazzolla. Hey presto! The Argentinean shark “Escualo” is swimming contentedly in the French “aquarium” and pops up unexpectedly as a musical motif now and again on the surface of the new concert program of Hamburg quartet Salut Salon.

German tour gets underway

Huge demand for advance tickets

After the premières marathon at Hamburg’s Thalia-Theater with over 13,000 of concert-goers, Salut Salon took to the road for a few days in the summer holidays. Then their German tour got underway on 19 August in Baunatal – Salut Salon will give just under 80 concerts in 74 locations, including Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Berlin as well as Halle, Leverkusen, Münster, Düsseldorf and Kiel.

ARTE feature on the best TV time

Hamburg’s North German Radio (NDR) production in conjunction with Seelmann-Film

German-French cultural/current affairs channel ARTE dedicated a 45-minute feature to Salut Salon on 16. July at 6.30 p.m., with excerpts of the stage programme and interviews with the artists.
